What we collect
Your email address (for sign-in), the policy documents you choose to upload, and the coverage details Hoot extracts from them. We also keep a log of the consents you give us.
How your data is protected
Policy documents are stored in encrypted, private storage. Sensitive fields like your street address and policy number are additionally encrypted at rest. Access is restricted by row-level security so only you can read your own data.
What we never do
We never sell your data. We never share your policy with carriers, brokers, or advertisers. Aggregated comparisons use de-identified data only.
Your rights
You can export or permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings. Deletion removes your documents, extracted data, and chat history.
